ICRA 2026 is truly an experience for everyone, bringing together the world’s top researchers and industry leaders to advance the field of robotics for the benefit of humanity. We do recognize that your child may not be ready to participate as a “technical” attendee. Don’t worry. We’ve still got their ICRA experience covered!
ICRA 2026 has partnered with “Wiener Kinderfreunde aktiv” to provide this year’s children’s program. In its 56th year of providing high-quality children’s programs and youth services to conventions, trade shows, and special events, “Wiener Kinderfreunde aktiv” takes caring for your children very seriously.
Activities
Activities include exciting themes, arts & crafts, group games, music & movement, board games, story time, dramatic play, etc. They provide activities appropriate for each age group, using safe and sturdy equipment. Children can make their own choices within the Wiener Kinderfreunde aktiv’s program.
Commitment
Our goal is to provide your children with a comfortable, safe, and happy experience. Wiener Kinderfreunde aktiv’s staff-to-child ratios are high to ensure that every child feels special (1:1 for children ages 6 months through 2 years old; 1:2 for children ages 2 through 3 years old; 1:4 for children ages 4 through 5 years old; 1:6 for children ages 6 through 12 years old). Wiener Kinderfreunde aktiv team members are selected according to their integrity, experience, education, and enthusiasm.
Where, When, for Whom
The program is for children ages 6 months through 12 years old. The dates for the program are June 1-5, 2026, between the hours of 09:00 – 18:00 and will be located at the ICRA Congress Venue: VIECON – Messe Wien. Light snacks and water will be provided. Parents are encouraged to provide any “favorite” snacks or beverages as well as meals (if your childcare hours overlap with breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner). All food must be nut-free.
Please note: Medication (including sunscreen) will NOT be administered by Wiener Kinderfreunde aktiv management or staff!
Registration
ICRA 2026 will be offering discounted childcare to all conference attendees, based on a first come, first serve basis.
The registration will open in due course.
The cost for the children’s program will be announced in due course – but will be most likely EUR 10.00 (+20% Austrian VAT) per hour, per child. Children must be registered for a minimum of two consecutive hours per child for each day registered. Payment possible via credit card payment.
The advance registration deadline is May 4, 2026. Register early as availability is limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis. On-site registration will be limited to space availability. We encourage you to register early so we can guarantee the appropriate amount of staffing to accommodate your needs.
Registration Terms & Conditions
- Wiener Kinderfreunde aktiv staff does not administer medication. To ensure a safe and fun-filled environment, any child who is ill will not be admitted to the children’s program.
- Please label your child’s belongings. We will maintain a lost and found; however, Wiener Kinderfreunde aktiv does not accept responsibility for the loss or theft of any toy, book, or other personal items.
- For parents with infants, please bring diaper changing supplies, formula/baby food, and a change of clothes and a buggy for rest periods.
