Imperial Night & Welcome Reception
Networking at ICRA 2026 is important for us. Young scientist will meet in Vienna to exchange knowledge, develop new relationships, and build a strong professional network. Our offered social events shall support you in that aspect.
Welcome Reception
The Welcome Reception will be on Monday, June 1 from 18:00-20:00 in the Conference Center VIECON. ICRA will have some drinks and fingerfood prepared for you in Hall A, B, and C. In Hall B you can get a first glimpse of the industry exhibition – before its official opening on Tuesday Morning.
The Welcome Reception is included in all ticket types except Day Tickets.
Children at the event
Please feel free to bring your children to the event. However, if you are using a trolley, please do not enter narrow or too crowded area.

The Imperial Night
The Imperial Night on Wednesday, June 3, 19:00-23:00 (exact time to be confirmed) is THE social event of ICRA. Make sure you purchase a ticket that includes the Imperial Night!
Delegates with the appropriate ticket will be immersed in an Imperial Night! The Hofburg Palace in Vienna (usually not accessible) and the adjacent Spanish Riding School are the venues for this event. Golden and historic rooms (formerly reserved for the Austrian emperors) invite you on a sensory tour, accompanied by Austrian culinary highlights and artistic delights. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a selfie with the Emperor or the beautiful Empress Sisi.

Pre-sale tickets only, no onsite ticket sale! Your name badge serves as ticket as the Imperial night is coded on it when entitled/paid.
Explore the venue!
Every participant receives a stamp pass upon entry and can collect stamps in some of the around 30 rooms. Among all completed stamp passes 50 monetary prizes will be drawn and distributed on THU at the VIECON (congress center).

All participants with a valid ticket for the Imperial Night event will receive detailed event information closer to the event in a separate email.
Dresscode:
The setting is imperial. You might dance waltz or polka. At balls we would wear long dresses and smoking which, of course, is not required at ICRA. But given this is THE dinner of the year in robotics, maybe do not dress too leisurely (no ripped jeans, no shorts). However, we will welcome you as you are, means no real dress code is given.
Children at the event
Unfortunately, children under the age of 3 years are not permitted due to the regulation of the venue. Baby strollers are also not allowed and must be left in the cloakroom. No childcare service via ICRA is offered during the times of the event. For kids being 3 years or older a full companion pass is required as we have a guest number limitation.
